Tudor black bay heritage 36 ref 79500 by KRF factory
The KRF Tudor Black Bay Heritage 36 ref 79500 has been a popular purchase in the past and continues to be so even now. It’s a classic choice, nearly identical to the genuine model. The movement of this watch is the A2824, which is a reliable mechanism and considered similar to the ETA movement. While the materials of the A2824 movement are somewhat inferior to those of the ETA, any watchsmith can service or repair them, and replacements are readily available everywhere. It beats at 4Hz. In this review, I will do my best to highlight the flaws and share my thoughts, with the seller’s reference included at the end.
Flaw 1
The KRF watch is nearly perfect, and pointing out this flaw might be considered nitpicking. As shown in the images above, the font for the word “Self-Winding” slightly differs between the two watches.
Flaw 2
This could be considered a quality flaw: the KRF bezel is more easily scratchable compared to the genuine bezel. However, this is not a major issue, as the bezel can be protected with a coating.
Conclusion
The KRF Black Bay Heritage 36, ref. 79500, is considered one of the watches that is indistinguishable from the genuine model. However, the retail price of the watch has not increased since its release. This could be the perfect daily watch to wear, able to match most outfits. The flaws I’ve mentioned are really just nitpicking because the watch is too perfect. As always, peace out and stay vibey.
