PK Factory has been a staple in the rep community since I joined, and their GOD batch is regarded as one of the best in terms of quality on the market. In this review, I’ll delve into the Balenciaga Speed Trainer V1.0, highlighting its flaws and sharing my thoughts. References to the seller will be provided at the end of the review. Let’s dive in!
Flaw 1
At first glance, the Balenciaga text on the PK GOD version is noticeably different from the authentic one. The font size on the PK GOD is smaller, and its placement is incorrect.
Flaw 2
Turning our attention to the back heel to examine the Balenciaga text engraving, it’s clear from the images that the PK GOD font size is smaller, and the depth of the engraving isn’t as profound as on the authentic pair. The positioning of the text is also slightly lower than on the authentic pair.
Flaw 3
The sole engraving on the Balenciaga differs between the two pairs. The PK GOD font is thicker than on the authentic pair, and the engraving depth is shallower. However, the alignment of the characters is impressively accurate—good job, PK!
Flaw 4
The final flaw I’d like to point out is the toe box, which varies between the two pairs. Upon closer inspection, the PK GOD toe box is shorter than that of the authentic. Additionally, the shape slightly deviates between the two.
Conclusion
Despite the flaws mentioned, PK’s GOD Balenciaga Speed Trainer is still considered one of the best in the market. The most concerning issues are the font size and the positioning of the text, as mentioned in flaw 1. Anyone who owns a retail pair could potentially spot the difference, even from a distance. I hope PK can address this flaw, although it might be unlikely since it’s an older model. The latest model at the time of writing is V2.0.
