Cartier Tank Solo XL W5200028 by A factory
AF is deemed the best factory for the Cartier Tank Solo XL W5200028 in the replica community. I am writing a review to point out its flaws and share my thoughts. This watch is considered one of the best in the market, so I have high expectations. Does the watch live up to what it claims to be? The seller will be referenced at the end of the review.
Movement
The Miyota 9015 movement is found in AF’s Cartier Tank Solo XL W5200028. It is considered decent and comparable to the ETA 2892, enabling the production of thin replicas. A few of our community members mentioned that the MY9015 has noisy rotors. It beats at 4Hz, which is exactly the same as the authentic Cartier Calibre 049 (based on the 2892-A2). The MY9015 power reserve is less than a day, whereas the authentic Cartier Calibre 049 has a power reserve of 42 hours.
Measurements
Dimensions– Gen: 31mm x 40.85 mm x 7.65mm || AF: 41 mm x 31 mm x 8 mm
Waterproof– Gen: 30m || AF: 20m
Flaw 1
Looking at the images above, AF’s Cartier logo is thicker than the authentic. This flaw is obvious even without zooming in on the photo.
Flaw 2
Similar to the previous flaw, their date font, Cartier text, and the “SWISS MADE” text are thicker than the authentic. Let the images above speak for themselves.
Flaw 3
The back engraving is similar on both backplates, but my issue with AF’s engraving is the depth, which is slightly deeper than the authentic. I would consider this flaw a nitpick, but it is good to point out.
Conclusion
AF’s Cartier Tank Solo XL W5200028 remains one of the top-tier watches in the market. My only concern is the Cartier logo on the dial; it would be great if the factory could make the font thinner. The quality and price of the watch are great, making it a worthwhile addition to any collection. Hopefully, a better movement will be released to replace the MY9015, even though this movement is considered decent. Improvement in the movements would be appreciated. As always, peace out and stay vibey.
