Cartier Tank Solo XL W5200028 by TW factory
TW Factory produces top-tier Cartier Tank Solo XL W5200028 watches. There are many positive reviews in the community, with some stating it is an exact clone of the authentic version. I am here to burst the bubble, as I believe that none of the replicas are a one-to-one copy. However, they can be similar to the authentic, but just how similar? The seller will be referenced at the end of this video.
Movement
TWF uses the Miyota 9015 (MY9015) movement in their Tank Solo XL. This movement is considered decent but not exactly high-end. Only thin watches use this movement because of its thinness. I would like to point out that this movement may have noisy rotors, so consider this a warning. Overall, it is a decent movement but nowhere near the authentic Cartier Calibre 049 (based on ETA-2892-A2). The power reserve on the MY9015 is less than 24 hours, whereas the authentic has a power reserve of 42 hours.
Measurement
Dimensions– Gen: 31mm x 40.85 mm x 7.65mm || TWF: 41 mm x 31 mm x 8 mm
Waterproof– Gen: 30m || TWF: 20m
Flaw 1
TWF’s hands are a few shades lighter than the authentic, possibly due to lighting issues.
Flaw 2
The “Cartier” text on TWF’s 7 Roman numeral is thicker than the authentic, making the positioning off.
Flaw 3
The engraving text on TWF’s backplate doesn’t include “STAINLESS STEEL” like the authentic; instead, it shows “ACIER / Au 750.” However, TWF’s engraving is decent and can be improved by reducing the spacing between the characters.
Conclusion
TWF’s Cartier Tank Solo XL W5200028 is a decent and top-tier replica watch. The quality and price of the watch are decent. It would be a great addition to your collection, as it can be paired with most outfits. This watch is on my purchase list, and I will do a deeper review once I get my hands on it. As always, peace out and stay vibey.
