The V7F factory is recognized as one of the top factories producing decent quality watches, but this IWC Portofino watch is exceptional. Replica enthusiasts have lauded it as one of the closest to the authentic version, and I am here to dissect it by highlighting the flaws and sharing my thoughts. It operates at 4Hz, and feedback from the replica community indicates it can be hit or miss; some have reported problems with the movement, while others find it works flawlessly.
Flaw 1
Examining the metal buckles in the images, it’s apparent that the font engraving on the V7F version is thicker and slightly larger than on the authentic version.

This is not so much a flaw as it is an inconsistency. As depicted in the images, only a few pieces in their batch have the hour markers aligned incorrectly, which can be quite jarring visually. While it doesn’t often occur, it’s worth mentioning for those looking to make a purchase.

The back case engraving on the V7F version is more pronounced than on the authentic version. The depth is deeper, and the font slightly larger, with a noticeable difference in the reflective finishes on both back cases as well.

Regarding the dial font, the text on the V7F is noticeably thicker than on the authentic version, a difference that becomes obvious upon close inspection.
Flaw 5
A common flaw among all IWC Portofino watches is the strap. Although they appear similar, the feel and smell are distinct. The authentic strap is made of alligator skin, whereas V7F’s is made of plastic.
Conclusion
V7F’s IWC Portofino watch stands as a solid piece by market standards, and I would consider it among the top few best replica watches despite its flaws. Hopefully, the V7F factory will address concerning flaws such as the dial font and the back case engraving.
