Nike SB Dunk low bubbles colorway by TMF
Celebrating 25 years of saving the world before bedtime, the SB Dunk Low Powerpuff Girls Pack offers three distinct colorways to represent the creative expression and signature colors of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The TMF Nike SB Dunk Low “Bubbles” caught my eye for its similarity to the retail version, and I will review this dunk by pointing out the flaws and sharing my thoughts. Flaw 1
Point 1: Comparing both pairs, the TMF lacks the reflective pattern at all angles. This is quite an obvious flaw, but it isn’t a major red flag for an instant callout.
Point 2: The overall stitching on the TMF is decent but could still be improved compared to the authentic stitching. It feels like TMF stitching isn’t as prominent as on the authentic pairs.
Point 3: The toebox sole on the TMF Dunk is too thick and out of shape compared with the authentic.
Point 4: The Swoosh is similar on both pairs, but my concern is that the TMF Swoosh is positioned too low when compared to the authentic.
Flaw 2
Point 1: The perforation holes on the TMF are smaller than on the authentic.
Point 2: The black accent outline on TMF’s toebox is thinner than on the authentic.
Flaw 3
The logo on the TMF tongue patch is smaller than on the authentic; the sparkle design also slightly differs. Furthermore, the embroidery design is different on both pairs—it seems like TMF’s embroidery is more pronounced than the authentic’s. Weird, right?
Flaw 4
Point 1: The embroidery on TMF is loosely stitched compared to the authentic. Refer to the images above to see the difference.
Point 2: TMF’s stitching is good but could be better; the authentic stitching is tightly knit, while TMF’s is spaced farther apart.
Conclusion
The TMF Nike SB Dunk Low “Bubbles” colorway is a solid piece despite all the flaws I mentioned. The blue color is striking and will catch the public’s eye.
