Nike x Futura Laboratories SB Dunk Low Bleached Aqua colorway by Fire Kicks
Fire Kicks is a popular seller in the community, and their sneakers are considered mid to high tier quality. Their Nike x Futura Laboratories SB Dunk Low “Bleached Aqua” sneakers were reviewed and deemed high-tier quality, similar to the retail version. As you all know, this sneaker was labeled the best sneaker release in 2024. Do you agree? I will be reviewing these kicks by pointing out the flaws and sharing my thoughts. Flaw 1
Point 1: Fire Kicks’ swoosh is too fat, which affects its positioning when compared to the retail version. However, this flaw is hard to spot unless you compare them side by side.
Point 2: The eyelet red color differs on both pairs; Fire Kicks’ red is dull compared to the retail version.
Point 3: Futura Laboratories’ signature on Fire Kicks’ lateral side is too low and closer to the back heel, unlike the retail version.
Point 4: The overall color vibrancy is decent on Fire Kicks’ pair but could be improved when compared to the retail version.
Flaw 2
Point 1: The positioning and size of the letters “FL” differ on both pairs. Fire Kicks’ font is larger and positioned closer to the back heel compared to the retail version. Furthermore, the retail font is more prominent than Fire Kicks’.
Point 2: Similar to Flaw 1, Fire Kicks’ swoosh is too fat, affecting its positioning compared to the retail version.
Flaw 3
Point 1: Fire Kicks’ back heel shape is incorrect compared to the retail version.
Point 2: The material differs on both collars. Although this is a minor flaw, the touch doesn’t feel the same on both pairs.
Flaw 4
The Futura Laboratories’ signature on the sole isn’t similar on both pairs. Fire Kicks’ signature is dull and small, and the positioning is off compared to the retail version. Moreover, the sole color seems different on both pairs, perhaps due to lighting issues.
Conclusion
Fire Kicks’ Nike x Futura Laboratories SB Dunk Low “Bleached Aqua” sneakers are decent but not the best. My concerns are the swoosh and the signatures’ positioning and size. However, these flaws are passable to the untrained eye and could be mistaken for authentic when worn in public due to the color vibrancy being close to the authentic version.
