In-hand pictures

Flaw 1

We will start from the back of the Fear of God slide, and there are some minor differences between the authentic and BMlin.

One of the most prominent flaws would be the sole, BMlin’s slide is not flat on the ground compared to the authentic one. The outward sole on BMLin is too curvy, while the authentic sole is flat on the floor.

Next would be the “Fear of God” letters embossed at the back of the sole. The letters’ placement is off, and the embossing is a bevel on BMLin’s slide, which is off from the authentic. The authentic embossing is more protruding with sharp edges, and the text placement is not centered.

Flaw 2

Look from the side of the slides; the back of the BMLin slide is too curvy compared to the authentic one. The back up to the middle portion should be flat on the floor in the authentic image, and only the outsole should curve up.

The toe box is a minor flaw, but you can tell the difference if you examine it closely. On the authentic image, the toebox is a tad longer and curvier than BMLin’s slide, where it is shorter and less curvy.

Flaw 3

Let’s examine the bottom of the sole on the Fear of God slides, and there are a few differences between the authentic one and BMLin.

For BMLin’s slide, the bottom of the sole pattern, referring to the squarish dots, is much bigger than the authentic, where the dots are smaller and made out of more dots.

The letters on the BMLin’s sole are believed to be printed wrongly and fatter font. However, the font is more prominent and thinner on authentic ones. As the BMLin image is a blur, we cannot confirm if the letters are printed correctly; take it as a pinch of salt.

Flaw 4

Hoping this would be the last flaw on BMLin’s Fear of God slide, now let’s look at the letters embossed in the slides.

BMLin’s “Fear of God” and “Made in Italy” letters are more extensive and far apart, while the authentic ones are much smaller and more prominent, and the letters are closer to one another.

On a second glance, the font is also embossed wrongly on BMLin’s slides.

Conclusion

BMLin’s Fear of God slides biggest flaw should be Flaw 2, where the back of the sole till the front are not touching the floor as it should be on the authentic ones. However, wear and tear on the authentic ones could become curvy and similar to BMLin’s slides. Overall, BMLin’s slides are passable in the eyes of a more professional examiner.

Rep Preview Studio would be getting their hands on one of this pair to examine further such as the letters printed on the bottom of the sole. Once we have the BMLin’s slides on hand, we will do a YouTube review on it, so subscribe to any of our social channels to keep a lookout. Peace out and stay vibey.
